We could have thousands of people here (or more) right now, and never know it. I'm broadly familiar with the concept of mesh net, but I'm taking it a step further and and trying to do that, but with amateur radio bands. There's already such a thing as Software Defined Radio (SDR) which allows you to connect a range of antennas to your computer and use your computer as a radio. You can even send signals out, but that hardware is more expensive, and then there's the related power output costs as well.
Anyways...step one for me is creating a chat room program that allows multiple people to join a chat room with the concept being that you only need to be connected to one person to be connected to everyone else.
