Sounds more like a Nintendo of America move, not the parent company as a whole.

Also, the company has been around since 1889, making it 132 years old. There are many, much older companies. Perfect example of this being Sudo Honke, a sake brewery founded in 1141 and run by the same family for 55 generations.

Next oldest is Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan, a hot spring hotel founded in 705, which also makes it the oldest hotel in the world.

Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena is relatively young, having been founded originally in 1472, but its current form was founded in 1624.

Oldest bank to continually operate with the same legal identity is the Berenberg Bank in Germany, which was founded in 1590.

Nintendo of America is a direct subsidiary that was originally nepotistically staffed by Nintendo directly, with the president's son in charge.

I bought a gamecube a year or two after it came out and ended up selling it a couple of days later because the library was shit. The only good exclusive I can think of off the top of my head is Custom Robo. Any other good game I can think of is a Dreamcast port.

Every single game you listed there with the exception of Harvest Moon and Paper Mario is either a first party title or a Dreamcast port. Nintendo games suck. I would never buy one of their consoles for the first party titles. That's why I just end up emulating their consoles on PC. None of them have had enough good games to make it worth a buy since the SNES. The Switch is an exception. I could probably name at least 5 good games on the Switch, but Switch games are better in an emulator on PC anyway.

Edit: Also no mention of Fire Emblem is a huge fail. That's the one other game I can think of other than Custom Robo that is both good and exclusive to the console.
