There is also some evidence that certain chemicals in sun screen even in tiny amounts damages corals. Snorkelling boats are required by law to visit the same areas on the reef. These areas of the reef had huge amounts of bleaching. With a huge reduction of visitors to the reef the reef is looking in great shape now.
The funny thing is that water is the most abundant, and most powerful greenhouse gas. We really gotta meme the shit out of that, hopefully we can get the left to literally start yelling at clouds!
