Was it measured in the same way covid data was? Everyone with covid (or had contact with someone with covid) was encouraged to get tested at the local drug store and that result was recorded nationally by mandate. Did that ever happen with the flu? That is how they are calculating covid death rate, which is totally different than the flu.

Now your table is recording something totally different. It looks like for the covid rate (and just for covid) they calculated the total death rate for covid and not the fatality rate for people who caught covid. So their rate is

[people who died of covid] divided by [all people everywhere]

Which is ridiculous and should never be compared to flu fatality rate.

Have the decency not to jew people with statistics.

I worked in data analysis. I know the tricks. Its easy to fudge the numbers.

Statistics is nothing but a new form of fuckery unless you can ensure rigor is applied to measurement and analysis of data. I think there is a clear signal that far more people and younger people are dying of covid than every died of flu since at least the spanish flu a century ago.

I wish the government data was more reliable and more comparable to flu. It isn’t. As biased as the establishment statisticians have been, a lot of the antivaxxer/antilockdown crowd have just as bad, propagating misleading data anaylyses that can be demonstrably disproven— they are playing the same game — jewing the stats to make their argument more viable. Im talking MAGAtards perpetrating math rape. Don’t do it. If you are going to quote a statistic, know how they calculated it and use your common sense to determine if it is an objective analysis or fuckery.

Again with the Kary Mullis. How many times to I have to explain this to you. It doesn’t matter what Kary Mullis intended Polymerase chain reaction test for. It can be used to test for the presence of a particular virus. That is totally obvious. The person who invented the wheel didn’t intend that it would be used for an assualt vehicle. Who the fuck cares. The question is, can you explain why it doesn’t make complete fucking sense to be used as a diagnostic test. You can’t. “Kary Mullis said so” isn’t a god damned argument. I suspect this is the 3rd or 4th time weve had this conversation. If you undertand how it works, it makes perfect sense, as long as you understand its reliability. It has an error rate.

Also you changed the subject. You know that a much higher portion of people are seeking medical attention for covid and all positive covid tests/diagnoses are being reported to the CDC and that never happened with flu.
