I want to give you an idea of my massive strength.

submitted by ghostofvoatspast to TellUpgoat 3.4 yearsJan 7, 2022 16:23:42 ago (+9/-4)     (TellUpgoat)

I have a old 60" plasma TV that weighs 90lbs. To install it on its stand I have to pick it up to shoulder height. It is 60" screen so my arms are fully extended like wings to grip the sides. Then I have to lean forward and set it on the stand which is 2.5 feet forward of where I can stand. I have to extend my upper body forward while keeping my stance back because the base is in my way. So imagine holding 90lbs at shoulder height with arms fully extended and holding it 2 or 3 feet in front of you. I am a god. You will respect my physical dominance. You will address my by the correct pronoun. My pronoun is zee.

sounds like a lot of that weight is held by the tension created by the natural location of your arms vis-a-vis the edges of the tv and not strength at all.

you probably have myocarditis.

I know who that works, I use to lift and move 100 lb steel bars and 200 lbs metal filled kegs of bolts back when I was a dumb fuck.

Then my back went out and I discovered fucking hand trucks and fork lifts.

I have a hernia years ago. The doctor told me hernias do not heal, they will never go away only get worse. Had scans done at a specialist and was told my only option is surgery. Had surgery scheduled and waited in pain to have it repaired. Low and behold while I was waiting the pain started to fade and then went away so I cancelled the surgery. Many years later I'm still fine and lift weights all the time. I am a miracle baby. Also it reminded me don't trust doctors.

I'm impressed but ... look after your back. Lower back pain is the pits.

Imagine herniating your disks because you can find a more reasonable way to install your talmudvision.

I am unbreakable. I healed a hernia 8 years ago and the doctors and specialists told me it would be impossible. They said hernias do not go away, they only get worse and I need surgery. They took X-Rays and told me I had a severe hernia. I scheduled surgery however as I was waiting the pain stated to fade. Then it went away all together. 8 years of weight lifting later I have had zero issues. They literally told me this would be impossible. I am mel Gibson

A hernia and a herniated disk are not the same thing

Well I know you’re not Will. He was a scrawny fag with a bad heart, and too poor to have a big plasma tv.

Plasma still has better picture then LCD after all these years.

True black is true slatch.

I sold my oled and put my plasma back up last year. Plasma TVs are still the best tv tech if you are okay with 1080p. Push.

[ - ] cyclops1771 1 point 3.4 yearsJan 8, 2022 09:17:19 ago (+1/-0)

My eyes arent good enough anymore to see a difference between 1090p and 4k, so I'm good to go.

[ - ] ghostofvoatspast [op] 0 points 3.4 yearsJan 8, 2022 13:46:08 ago (+1/-1)

No eyes are at most common viewing distances on most common screen sizes which is why 4k is utterly pointless for most people. This is a known metric and the charts are available online.

[ - ] cyclops1771 1 point 3.4 yearsJan 7, 2022 20:08:16 ago (+1/-0)

I had to lift my 50" plasma with one arm and use the other to screw the TV into the wall bracket. It's good to do things only men can do.

[ - ] binrobinrro 1 point 3.4 yearsJan 7, 2022 19:38:15 ago (+1/-0)

Or you could put your hands UNDER it, like 2 or 3 feet apart.

[ - ] con77 1 point 3.4 yearsJan 7, 2022 18:11:48 ago (+1/-0)

I used to carry 15' pressure treated dock poles on my shoulder by myself over sand dunes. All day. 250 lbs

Imagine a large 60" plasma screen TV. Now picture the length of it in your mind. Now to hold and lift an object arms must be somewhat bent even if extended to the side. Now account for the fact that we hold things in the grip of our hands. Hopefully this gets your gears spinning enough to be able to comprehend.

[ - ] ghostofvoatspast [op] -1 points 3.3 yearsJan 8, 2022 15:10:02 ago (+0/-1)

Since you seem very interested and I appreciate that I measured the length for you. It is 55". Now take out a tape and extend it to 55" and stretch your arms out while holding it. Image that is 90lbs, I am a god.
