Yeah, I'm a welder. And a wood chopper. But, the problem isn't welding. It's the chopping. Even the best chopper isn't going to get clean through on the first try every time. And when it's not a clean blow, now you have an axe stuck in a log. You ever have to unwedge an axe from a log? You have to wiggle it back and forth. But, now you can't because your wiggle axis is gone.
The video doesn't show the massive amount of time wasted.
