That same teacher most likely supported immigration. Now they wonder why property prices are fucking high.

I'm glad someone agrees with me that immigration drives property prices. It seems to be totally ignored by most people. Maybe people on voat realize it? Without immigration there would be almost no population growth. With no population growth, house prices couldn't increase forever in a free market. Which is mostly is. yes, governments put a lot of effort into restricting supply, but as far as what's already available, it's trading freely.

All but a very few teachers are fucking garbage. They should be paid less.

If they aren't malicious propaganda pushing assholes they are incredibly lazy and stupid and can't compete in the adult world as adults.

Odd choice of job. Do roofer, bricklayer, or carpenter. Many modern houses are drywall on a wooden frame: construction worker is a bit too generic.

Prices are up, but not even the wages of those who build the houses. So where is the money going?

The Adam Smith Institute (UK focused) blames planning law https://www.adamsmith.org/planning-policy and wants to blow up the Town and Country Planning Act. It is a multistep plan

1 Remove planning laws

2 Nothing happens

3 Some sharp people finally start thinking: we are free, we can build

4 They sell a few houses at the old, sky high prices, getting rich

5 That attracts envy, more people get into house building

6 The second wave sell a few more houses at the old, sky high prices, getting rich

7 It becomes fashionable. There is a house building boom

8 But prices are still too high, sales don't absorb the new supply

9 Builder start getting into financial trouble because they have borrowed money to build houses that they are failing to sell.

10 Builders start cutting prices. About fucking time.

Ordinary people object to this plan because they don't understand. They don't think it will work, despite that being the way it did work in the past.

Yes, urban planning restricts supply. But why do we need an ever-increasing housing supply? Where are the residents coming from?

Or we could just give 25% off the cost of the house for each child you have like NatSoc Germany did, but sigh..we have Jews.

It sounds like the teacher should get a different job.

One that makes them work more than 180 days a year and not in a climate controlled, safe environment with pensions, sick days and healthcare.

Teacher has been treated like a job that doesn't support a household. Perhaps that is something that should be rethought, but that's literally where the low pay comes from. That's also where the bitching from the teachers comes from. it used to be, effectively a part time job. Even better than that because Mom got (almost) all the same days off as her kids, so there was no conflict.

That place is tame by CA standards. I'm sure there are other, smaller shitboxes in the same neighborhood listed at over a million.

90% of teachers I've ever met have had trainwreck personal lives.

We really have the most fucked up people teaching our kids. Pedophiles are the least of it. Most teachers would be absolutely useless outside of these do nothing positions.
