This is why reaponsible dog owners don't let their dogs off leash in populated areas. How is anyone else supposed to know what a dog's intentions are.

As a neighbor, I am not responsible for knowing what will trigger your dog into play or to attacking. What we do know is the handler of this dog didn't have control. That is a dangerous situation.

We didn't hear one thing from the handler until the gunshots stopped. He didn't attempt recall so we know he either wasn't paying attention or didn't care. He did say "he's just a puppy" so we do know that the dog needed to be watched, because puppies do stupid shit.

Even if tour dog is friendly, nobody else knows that. I fucking hate people who let their dogs run and jump on people in clearly intimidating situations. If your dog is in your neighbors lawn behaving in a way that it ends up dead then that is on you, the dog owner. I have 0 responsibility for your dog. My responsibility is myself and my property, which I will keep safe. Again, you don't want your dog shot by your neighbors then keep it the fuck off their property.

What was happening prior to the start of the video? That nigger sure was quick as hell to shoot the dog. He was drawing and shooting while most people would have still been registering that this dog was coming at them.

I reckon he was in his rights to shoot. (based on what you see in the video) Pit bull you don't know comes running at you barking... What are you going to do? Wait until it actually bites you before shooting? Looks like the dog stopped short of actually attacking, but by then the nig had already committed to shooting.

(I don't know about the laws, or even really care, in the same situation I likely would have done the same thing)

Once it's on your property, or even simply off the owners property, you have a free pass.
