In the 1st video consider that they faked the direction the chopper was traveling. In both edits the chopper behavior to horizon is still the same. In that it peeks out from behind the horizon, at least in one direction. Was it rising or falling when they got that shot? Only the editor knows.

In the 2nd video, the narrarator may be over-imagining how accurate the tool is, and they dare imagine it would not be if the earth was round. The sextant is not exactly precise. It is simetimes off by a few miles. Even so, it is very impressive.

Reason sextan is so accurate, in spite of an unsteady hand, is because you take 3 readings, not 2.

Our planet could be irregular mountains and warped valleys and, irrespective of a tricky terrain, the sextant would still be dead-on accurate. No matter what the terrain, it would still serve it's purpose.

Narrator does not appreciate how impressive this method of measuring is, and in another dimension of a planet with total nonsensical surface structure, it still works marvelously.

In short: flat, round or concave. It works.

That's a testament to the method being sound (geometry/math) not evidence of surface shape.

The method doesnt care where you are going. It only cares where you are. It cares nothing about the shape underneath your feet.

In time you may understand and better appreciate what the narrator has said. A sextant could not work on a sphere and disproves the globe.

An angle is taken from two straight lines. Simple as this. You can't take an angle from a curved adjacent and the solution to this problem is to measure first on a flat plane then transpose to whatever non observable model you wish.

The Earth is objectively flat. By way of demonstration/ navigation, measurement and observation.

The method doesnt care about the shape underneath your boat. It is set up to find a single point. You can run this experiment on a tennis ball, a basketball, a plane, a cube, or a pyramid. Finding a point directly "up" above you is not a function of how irregular the plane you stand on is.

A vast majority of the comments were positive and in support. People have said the same shit about me being "emotional". No one pointed out anything specific which would disqualify them. I won't hesitate to pull powers if needed, which is apparent based my history with Cynabuns.
