Tap the side of the egg till it cracks then roll it along its side under your hand until you've broken the she'll all the way around. Then peel. Chef here I've peeled approximately 1.37 million eggs. And the ice water.

If you still fail to get easily peeled eggs after trying the other solutions, you may just try a cheap egg cooker instead. It steams the eggs instead of immersing them in water, but they're very easy to peel.
I got one for my girlfriend at one point since I was sick of her mangling the fucking eggs.
I've always had terrible luck and no tricks have ever worked for me. The best I've found is using a spoon to get under the shell and peel off the rest of the shell
This is how I do it: Bring water to a boil Add in 1/4 cup of vinegar Slowly and gently lower the eggs into the boiling water/vinegar Here's where preference comes in. Boil for 8 minutes for soft boiled 12 minutes for hard boiled. When time is up, put the eggs in an ice water bath Shells should peel right off.
Don't over cook them. Put them in a cold bath immediately after cooking. Crack the large end of the shell, then peel the shell off from large end to small end. Doing so under water helps a lot.
I was once told that older eggs tend to stick more. Don't know if that's true or not but I try to make sure they're fresh. I discovered this video a few years back and I will say that her method makes perfect boiled eggs. Skip the Deviled Eggs part if you just want boiled eggs. https://youtu.be/-1JtSsJyHB8 Put eggs in pot. Cover w water. Bring to boil. From that point boil 8 minutes. Place eggs in ice bath to halt cooking (I just put them in a bowl and in the fridge). Peel when cool.
I boil exactly 7 mins. They are soft boiled and better in noodles. Take em out run under cool water. Peel em. Perfext everytime. Hard boiled is nasty anyways.

here's what you do.
cold water with at least 1" go cover.
poke a hole in the bottom / fat end of the egg.
bring to simmer, not a hard boil, simmer 6 minutes for a jam consistency inside.
take out, put into 50/50 ice water mix. leave a few minutes.
for a different method you can bring to a strong boil, cover, take off the heat and leave for 8 minutes.same treatment with ice water.
