He's not entirely wrong. Tanks are vulnerable in an urban environment and do need infantry support... which is exactly why they have infantry support. I would LOVE to see this guy try getting close enough to a tank to throw his paint balloons.

2. Shoot to maim (which ties up other soldiers and resources to rescue/save)

Learn from Canada #Ukraine, if you want to win a war you need to slowly infiltrate their society, rise through the ranks, take over their banking system, media, educational institutions, unionize healthcare and push fake mental health on everyone in your target country. Use these tools to slowly degenerate their ways of life, chip away at their sense of community, put criminals in their neighbourhoods, use the police to beat them into submission, push faggotry on their children and condemn the nuclear family. Normalize assaults on their religion but create laws to defend your own. Push their country into insurmountable debt with the tools you've implemented to a bank you own. Then, when they start to realize what's going on? Scare them. Virus, war, terrorism, racism... 24/7 fear mongering. Induce their stress response at unprecedented intervals. Turn their men into women, their women into whores and then flood their streets with rapists and pedophiles. Once you've accomplished all this you don't even need guns, WMDs or tanks because they've already conquered themselves.

Well,it's true in a sense. Speaking as someone who actually knows some shit about this, tanks and their crews hate urban environments - there's just too many fucking ways to disable them. Not destroy, just disable. And tanks, like artillery, drones, and planes, are absolutely the wrong weapons for urban environments. For every 'rebel' you kill, you slaughter ten innocents - and some of the family and friends and neighbors of those innocents go ballistic and themselves become 'rebels'. Every 'rebel' you kill with these indiscriminate weapons spawns 2 or 3 or 4 or even 5 more rebels - you just make the problem worse.

When I was in the army we studied this shit hard and a civil war was the worst scenario of all. Even if we could rely on 100% of the military to support us (which is laughable, because at least 50% would go AWOL almost immediately) it would take AT LEAST 250,000 soldiers to secure the San Joaquim valley alone - and this was in 1987. We estimated that if only 10,000.000 Americans rose up the war would be over in 30 days, with a devastating, complete victory for their side - and there was simply no way to win it. None whatsoever. In fact, our conclusion was that our own leadership would nuke Russia and China, in order to invite a counter strike which would kill their enemies here in America. That was the 100% conclusion of every study we did - but we never submitted this shit, because that would've ended all of our careers in a heart-beat....
