I wanted nothing more a few years ago to just be vapid. I wanted to just celebrity worship and eat junk food and not pay attention to anything .Didn't work it sucks now it's just laugh at everything because fuck it.

Read about Cassandra. That story is about knowing the future, but replace future with truth and you obtain something eerily relevant now. You have identified the eternal burden of following a truthful path.

The more correct you are, the less a person will believe you. Notice how people love to consume lies, far fewer will accept truth hints, and almost nobody accepts a truth bomb.

The crux is exactly that, most people believe what they love to believe. They don't want to believe a matter they don't want to face, especially if it means having been wrong for a long time.

The way around that problem is to communicate with pictures and evidence, with as little annotation as possible. For a good recent example, I have been using a zoomed-out view of the Olympics ski slope to educate people who thought that China somehow isn't a shit-hole.

Minor note 1: Data-as-evidence works on about as few people as does a logical argument. Try to keep to visual stuff and single case examples, and only use data as a counter to calls for a larger sample. "But that's just one..." - nope!
