Milks gone from 3.15 to 3.85. More like 20%.

The Chapwood Index gives actual inflation rates

Lies. Way more than that.

More like 12%

Yep. I went to buy my $2 fabric softener and it was $6.20. Some things are going bonkers. Single digits is for sure a lie. Daily mail probably just got tips from people complaining about soft drink prices and didn't dig much deeper but the reality is worse.

Is fuel a grocery?

[ - ] Cunt [op] 0 points 3.1 yearsMar 18, 2022 03:28:26 ago (+0/-0)

No, it's a separate metric.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries 0 points 3.1 yearsMar 18, 2022 04:33:25 ago (+0/-0)

Wouldn't want to add that to inflate the figures now... would we.

So IIRC they have several different metrics like groceries, fuel, electricity, cars and housing that all add up to the CPI figure, which makes sense in theory but it's all bullshit statistics that equate to bullshit results. So for example with groceries they do an "average" basket, that won't include luxuries like chocolate or soft drink or razors or pads or brand name goods. So if you buy bread from a baker instead of the supermarket, it doesn't factor in any rises there, nor does it if you buy bread mix to bake a home. If you are a sane person who buys any other loaf other than the cheapest homebrand one that tastes like cardboard, all those price hikes aren't counted, only the 10 cent increase from 90cents to $1 - scratch that I just checked it is now $1.40 (my preferred brand has gone up 20cents)... and on top of all that, it doesn't take into account that rise from 90cents to $1.40 perloaf is also bullshit because the loaf has shrunk from 750g to 650g so the cost per hundred grams has risen from 12cents to 22cents, so it has actually risen from 90cents last I looked at the homebrand bread (can't have been that long ago?) to $1.65 for the same amount.

Take that level of pilpuling statistics and apply it to every matrix in every kike way you can think of and there will still be more fuckery you haven't thought of going on.

aah, sorry to make you go through all that. I kinda already knew, but was highlighting how people are only looking at one metric as it is lower than many other more important metrics that have risen much higher. House prices, fuel, even ammo have gone up by astounding rates. But they focus on little bits, little bits that say, don't have GST or additional taxes so when their price goes up it doesn't compound and go up even more.

buuuut, suburbanite problems.

Wife makes our own bread, more for less and less garbage ingredients. We have stockpiles many ingredients prior to all this occurring. You can then use this to catch birds outside. Or fruit offcuts or rotten fruit. I usually get black birds and starlings like this and its good meat. oddly enough, I indulge sometimes in 75 cents bottles of lemonade that have remained at 75 cents.

All good, it doesn't take much to start me on a rant, especially on inflation. I've been complaining about inflation and its under reporting for years, so might technically be hyperbolic or at pre-mature but I'm going around calling it hyper inflation now.

I wish we could move rural but it's not financially feasible for us. We don't even have space to prep food stockpiles aside from a few kilos of rice and small stack of cans.
I hope you target Indian Myna birds because fuck them.

But anyway, speaking of fucked statistics, I overheard on the news we are apparently under 5% unemployed (?) and will soon have full employment... I'm guessing all the people who are refusing the jab are now listed as not looking for work and thus not counted.

People who do not understand that the removal of a material backing from a currency means the end of an economy, giving advice and guidance on the economy. Inflation is beyond hyper.

There are still places in the middle of nowhere that go real cheap. Problem is once you get there it's hard to live the simple life unless you're ready for it. Australia is friggen big

We occasionally get the roaming band of mynas, but after a few scares and weather changes they disappear for a while. I have trapped a few and they do not taste particularly great. Dogs play with the bodies but Ive never seen them eat one. And one of them eats shit on a daily bassis.

Some industries in my scope have lost a lot more than 5%. I tell people 5-15%. The damage done from labour loss in the logistics world has crippled it massively. The globalists are piling on as much shit as they can to ruin everything. Cant get labour, cant afford fuel or basic materials, cant sell to russia, cant import from russia, cant get goods into the US because of closed ports. It's no longer just not hiring vaxed only people, many industries cant even anything going. Just so much shit.

It's ridiculous in the supermarket now. And it happened so fast.

The Great Reset moves forward unabated.

And if you think this inflation is bad wait until hyperinflation sets in. Then production stops and deflation and depression hits. At that point you won't be able to purchase certain items regardless of how much Bitcoin, gold, or silver you have.

Then we will have to start eating Roo....
