I have 1 that is coming into his 21st year very shortly, hes still out every day in the summer has all his teeth apart from 2 which we recently noticed he had lost. Still brings birds, tree rats, normal rats and anything else he can find home.

He sleeps more now than he ever used to but we have never lost him, we got him just after my last son was born, hes 20 now. Cat still looks good although we think he has a little dementia starting now :(. He has been to the vets 3 times in the whole period of his life, always for war wounds, doesnt have shots, had shots when we first had him and have never had them since.

Still has good , quick reactions when we play fight.

Our last cat that clearly [and gradually] developed dementia just got weirder and derpier for a whole year before she suddenly kicked the bucket. She got so obnoxiously weird near the end that it was almost kind of a relief, although I must admit we still miss her from time to time, mainly remembering the good old days before she got as weird as she ended up.

My mom had a cat. Female American medium hair. Misty.

Mom lived on a lake in Florida and Misty came home one day with a rattlesnake bite to the face.

Mom took the cat to the vet to have her put down. The vet insisted "let me see if I can save her!" And he did. FREE OF CHARGE!

4 OR 5 YEARS GO BY AND KITTY MESSES WITH THE WRONG SNAKE AGAIN! this TIME Mom TOOK HER AND PAID THE FREIGHT. that CAT LIVED TO BE 19 YEARS OLD!

Oh! That's what they're called!

I had one that we found in the marina after a huge storm. Vet said he looked to be maybe three weeks old tops; he still had those rheumy blue eyes they have as babies. I named hom Carbon and he was my good close buddy for almost eleven years. I'll always miss that dude. Vet tested all the things and could find nothing, leaving the potential of bone cancer, but the test for that was painful and intrusive and he was dead a week later anyway. We had some fun adventures, shit I miss that little guy.
