Here's some bullshit for you: Hair loss treatments and coverage.

Insurance and HSA will NOT cover hair loss treatments unless the hair loss is caused by a medical condition since it's considered "cosmetic."

But fuck it all to hell if cross-gender hormones for a dude who's losing his hair don't include hair loss treatments that IS covered by insurance.

As if that shit makes ANY fuckin' sense. You can't get insurance to cover your hair loss unless you wanna grow a pair of tits.

You got me thinking so I looked into it... you actually COULD. There's "informed consent" where you go and basically say "I'm some whatever gender but I don't want titties." Whatever "non-binary" bullshit fits that. You can't say "Me girl, gimme" because then they wanna test your levels.

Fuck, 6 months. That's all you'd need to do. Insurance and whatnot would cover all of it.

Makes sense. Plus it's a bit hard to measure, like if someone keeps their hair we've no idea if it's because of the snake oil or just because they weren't going bald anyhow.

I'm guessing if anyone loses their hair while using it they just give up and stop buying it rather than going public.

but as someone who audited generic pharma companies I wouldn't touch those either.

Now I'm really interested. Any stories you can tell? I've heard of online pharmacies where you can order cheap versions of unaffordable drugs from india (they even replace them free if they get seized by customs). I like the idea but it'd be so easy for them to fuck someone over.

As for the hair thing... I was a lot more vain in my 20s but these days I'll just take the hit and go bald. I think people should be more willing to age gracefully in general.

Not entirely true. Dihydrotesterone (DHT) is responsible for it. Generally speaking, though, high DHT levels correspond to higher testosterone levels.

Cologen makes hair and nails grow too. Just get the organic stuff. Otherwise it can have insane levels of roundup in it.
Maybe also look into red light therapy. Joove is a company that makes the lights. I can't remember but they might help with hair.

nothing works 100% in every instance, but PRP treatments seem to be very effective. I suspect that biophotonics might be effective too, specifically 660nm and 850nm light. You can get a grow light off of ebay or something. You'll want something that's at least 45 watts and concentrated. There are some that have a lens to concentrate the light. Something closer to a light bulb footprint than a light board would be best.

Insurance is supposed to cover risk, not certainties (which includes anything known at the time of insurance).

For most men baldness is inevitable, or at least so likely that there's no point insuring against it. The premiums would approach the cost of treatment, so you might as well just save up for it.

Transgenderism is also not a risk so much as something people decide to do. If you're thinking about taking out insurance for transpandering "therapies" then you've probably already decided to seek them out, so in a non-clownworld those would also be non-insurable.

But we life in clownworld and insurance is basically just another form of socialised healthcare, so all kinds of non insurable risks have to be covered by people who just don't want to die from cancer or a heart attack.
