Anyone know what will become of those who have their lives endangered by their pregnancy? Before any mention of personal responsibility remember not every pregnancy is voluntary and expecting people to risk death because they had sex is unreasonable if not malicious.
It's pretty much guaranteed that the feds will step in if there's a serious risk of the woman dying, and possibly even if the pregnancy was the product of rape or if there's a major birth defect in the kid. But these scenarios, despite being constantly mentioned in the press, account for something like 1% of all abortions in the US.
I dont care about the ones who want to murder babies so they can slut around without consequence. If anything I would like to beat them with a stick until they remember even demons need to tread lightly. That doesnt change that we shouldnt be mandating a decent persons death through legislation. Of course that implies mandating the death of an infant. I dont think there is a good answer for this. I dont even want to side with and answer since any choice involves a death. However if we must pick between the unborn that is likely to just have a long and miserable life or the person who has been around for years I wont pick the unborn.
