This happens more than one would like to believe. If your dog isn't trained to defend your person or property, do not assume that they will. They will often join in with whoever seems to be winning the tussle. This is especially true if the owner has not established themselves as master and the dog believes itself to be equal or physically dominant. This becomes even more likely with a spastic and unpredictable breed like modern pitbull terriers. Although exceptions do exist, even well bred pitbulls are not well suited for guard duty.

I've met a ton of women that have unruly dogs because they haven't established themselves as the alpha. They baby the dog or treat it like a toy and the dog does whatever the fuck it wants. Then the woman wonders why the dog doesn't listen.

I don't give a fck, i was mauled by a harpy neighbours two terriers as a 8 yr old while she just stood there and had the temerity to yell and shout at me telling me to stop trying to kick and hit - while i'm literally screaming hysterically and holding my chin on and fighting to stop being eaten alive. I was only lucky my father heard the commotion and jumped our back fence (along a public walkway) and dragged both the dogs off me.
Fck any one and their dog that isn't under control at all times around other people.
