You text him about golf, and he mentions taking over Ukraine casually. You know his father quite easily got him onto the governing board of one of the largest energy corporations in Ukraine. Your non-elected political buddy is doing things for the federal government in a foreign nation, and you don't even skip a beat when he mentions it sideways. You just keep talking golf and home sales.
Also, can you believe these people aren't just going through your typical real estate agency to find a buyer for the house in their neighborhood!?
Hard to believe they probably tap their own networks exclusively for suitable neighbors! It's almost like they do the opposite socially of what they tell you to do. Like they curate exclusive communities and associate cautiously, protecting their spaces from outsiders. What a thought!
