The funny thing I always see about the mass shooting is they always qualify it with "In the First World."

I always ask them if they think third-world people are animals not able to obey the law. They always get pretty defensive and say something like, "well, they don't have the resources to handle that so guns are easily accessible"....but that doesn't mean they don't have the ability to obey the law and have common decency.

Switzerland has a lower gun ownership rate than Canada and Iceland.

They just have that rather overrated citizen militia that people associate with private gun ownership.

The Czech Republic is the real gun powerhouse in Europe if there is one. Mostly though the outlook for gun rights on that continent can be classified as bleak. Even European right-wingers think gun registration is just 'common sense'.
