Maybe if there were some way to demonstrate the voting system isn't manipulated in a transparent way it'd be fair.

Assuming it could be being disliked and harassed by morons isn't a much better way to assess suitability. Anyone that tries to justify all the downvotes I get for example is not someone I'll take seriously. That this is bullshit goes without saying.
