The box jellyfish inflicts a pain so excruciating it can kill you, from an animal the size of a dime that is virtually invisible in peak conditions.

A sting from this jellyfish can bring on a sense of impending doom, and cause the victim to want to die.

... and sometimes you do actually die from intense back pain, extreme nausea, abdominal cramps, profuse sweating, hypertension, tachycardia, severe neurological pain, muscle spasms, potentially life-threatening cardiac complications and an overall feeling of impending doom.

upside - their fangs are shorter than snakes around the rest of the world, the venom doesnt go into your bloodstream, goes into the lymphatic system instead which needs muscle movement. tourniquet really bad. snake bite bandage and immobilisation very good.
