Back when Snowden did his thing the internet was plastered in pure contempt for him. I think that lasted until the USA gave up on starting a war to get him back.
Yet not one single soul I knew to be or strongly suspected to be human (glowies aside) opposed what he did.
Every person I could speak face to face with approved of what he did.

Since then ive also seen scenarios where places get completely swamped with clearly unnatural degrees of focus on a particular stance. Its to the point where normal traffic combined with opposing voices is reduced to a quarter of new content.
Which makes sense when you learn there are companies and sections of the government devoted to shilling online.

Poal has a great UI. Users don't know that AOU is a piece of shit because of this. Anyway, AOU keeps banning good users for no reason. Soon all the cool users will be gone.

It was around while OG Voat was around. Once OG died, the users scattered. Poal was the first stop for many, some never bother to leave for anywhere else.

Maybe it's because of what happened to voat 1.0? Less trust now? I'm on both and I like 'em both. It's good to have some backup places, in case they get shutdown. Gab is pretty good too.
