We need an accepted way in society to say "you have no idea what the fuck you are talking about and you will just have to believe me on this". I run into this almost daily with people who think they know enough about something to form a valid opinion.

It is a huge problem with boomers and their "authority" worship (if you aren't a car mechanic then you are on my knowledge level with respect to cars); but it also carries to other generations and causes leftism, shit like this video, and other nonsense.

There are boomers that are not like that, and i know many, but in general they are. I would be shocked if you have never ran into any.

A concrete example is that i have changed head gaskets and timing belts, but I know boomers who would only take their (out of warranty) car to the dealership to get oil changes and not let me do it for free.
