Yeah well the Hubble situ is not much good either, the HST was allegedly sent into orbit with an incorrectly ground primary mirror whence the images it returned suffered from "Spherical Aberration," which meant the space telescope could not be focused properly.
There followed several highly expensive "fixit" missions which "they" say solved the problem .. the other side says the fixits were a scam, and all that was needed was for the secondary mirror to be adjusted and the SA would disappear .. NASA and the HST ppl said they did not want to do that for unspecified reasons.
The wonderful shots attributed to the Hubble Space Telescope that turn up from time to time are said to be taken by ground based, multi mirror, image stabilized telescopes.

Even in these early days I am not confident the James Webb mission will be the answer to an image starved maiden's prayer - as the saying goes - despite their website has some positive material. Edit.
hubble, with all the fuckups, was the product of a team of white men with 120+ iqs. is anyone else skeptical the webb telescope is doing anything? did NASA’s team of women and shitskins really get that goofy-looking thing into orbit? and if they did, is it really working?
They're different wavelengths. The JWST is naturally going to pick out more structural detail because its light is less affected by dust. The Hubble can actually see in the visual spectrum.
If I'm not mistaken that's just data they used something like Photoshop filters on. Just like that one girl who did no coding but got her picture all over the media for stylzing, I'll look her up in a min
Oooh Aaah more fakery, from the guys that lied about space in general. The only Big Bang theory one should believe in, is the one you get after the second date
Silly Dangy, everyone KNOWS space isn't real!!! How do you keep falling for this obvious CGI??? I'm going to go back to actual reality and hide from the 5G laser death beams.
Why are they putting false color on the images? JWST is designed for orange to mid-infrared due to how faint the objects they'll be observing are. It's not made for visible spectrum imagery, meaning the images are false color, but why?
Oh wait, most people are retards and if they released the images without doing that, the teevee-watchers would be screaming about a "broken telescope" and demanding the funding be cut.
Don't they usually have multiple cameras/sensors set for each color channel just for this reason? Getting nice pictures for the public is part of their mission after all.
It's an infrared telescope. You wouldn't be able to see it if it weren't false color because it's picking up spectrums of light you can't see with your own eyes and your monitor can't create infrared light with it's Red Green Blue pixels. So, they have to shift the spectrum from infrared to RGB.

The diffraction spikes in both gif images of the Southern Ring Nebula indicate they were taken by Webb.
