What was the best decade to be alive?

submitted by Conspirologist to AskGoats 2.8 yearsJul 19, 2022 10:20:47 ago (+6/-1)     (AskGoats)

I think it's the 90's. The faggot bullshit from the 60's - 70's was over. Meanwhile Reagan managed to boost the alpha ideology and everyone was working out in the gym. Technology become accessible, with free speech internet and affordable cellphones. Promiscuous sex was not cool because of AIDS. Movies become more realistic because of powerful CGI computers. Music was awesome, with intelligent lyrics.

I have more, but you get the point.

What about you?

I was a teenager during the 90's. Golden age for many things, but now I'm 40 and witnessing the downfall of our civilization. I'd rather be born in the 60's or early 70's. That was the richest generation in the history.

About 85-95. Everything about it from music to clothes to just being able to be or do whatever and not worry about someone breathing down your neck. The music hadn't gone full retard yet, TV shows still had content worth thinking about from time to time, the movies were fucking lit. We had the best balance for all communities where people could be where they wanted to be with the people they wanted to be around - if you wanted your "muh diversity" you could find it without it being as dysfunctional as today (for the most part) and if you wanted a sunset town you could do that too. We weren't overrun by anyone. There was so much hope and promise for technology and work and income and society as a whole.

Best decade was the first decade.

Ancient Mesopotamia, the first great city was just built between the two rivers, for the first time in history, we have more food than we know what to do with, our houses are made of stone, they last forever, so we never have to leave them or build another, you can get anything you want from a new-fangled thing called the marketplace, where you can simply go and trade what you have for what you want, for the first time, we have written laws, we know the rules, and they are more than just "do whatever the strongest guy wants or prepare to fight him and his friends", everything is fucking sweet, and only getting better as now we have free time to do things like come up with new inventions, or discuss ideas and make the rules we live under more agreeable for everyone, basically, we had it made back then, in the first cities.

Then we let in those refugees who were driven from their lands, we gave them a place in our cities out of a sense of hospitality, they refused to adopt our religion or culture, and kept their children from assimilating by segregating themselves from the rest of us, they taught their children to fear and hate us who had saved them, to repay our kindness by plot against us to destroy our nation, they started to erode our nation by introducing this plague of theirs called "debt" trough their usury and other such practices, then they took those who were made poor by their economic sabotage and manipulated them into blaming their king for their poverty, envy was another plague these refugees brought into our lands, these refugees started working with our enemies, and with the other refugees of the same tribe who lived in their lands, they used these connections to act as kingmakers and also to bribe or blackmail our authorities into betraying the people they had sworn to serve, eventually even kings fell under their sway as the corruption grew, yet another plague these refugees had brought amongst us, these refugees also brought the plague of discord, as they would take our young children and condition them to hate their parents and the society that was built with them in mind as it's future inheritors, it was only a matter of time before the refugees used their influence to open our doors to the foreign peoples who were our enemies, who had been attacking us, and stealing from us, kidnapping and enslaving our people, and the refugees made us welcome them into our cities. These refugees were the jews, and their pattern of behavior towards us has not changed since those days in the first cities.

I love the 90's, but gotta go 80's. Crack and Niggers weren't a thing to worry about where I grew up, Fucking Bill Clinton wasn't in office ruining the country, faggots were in the closet mostly.

I would imagine the 1930s in Germany would have been quite the experience.

[ - ] Panic 0 points 2.8 yearsJul 19, 2022 17:42:18 ago (+0/-0)

Except for that part about getting drafted and dying in foreign wars thing. in the 1930's , Germany went to war and stayed at war until 1945. Millions of men died. Not for my tastes.

Agree with you about the 90s - however that is when things started spiralling downwards, leading us to where we are now.

i lived through the 70s. IMO it was the best decade. At least in retrospect. The 90s were better than than anything since. But 30s Germany are in fact the most honorable.

I think contentment was probably up too.

Possibly the 50s. I have some reservations about the development of healthcare though that makes the 80s or 90s seem like a decent option. Maybe even the 9/11 or Iraq War era. Anything later and in America it is mud takeover.

Speaking from a fashion standpoint, women's hairstyles from that era were ghastly. Made 18 year olds look 45. Every woman had the same exact style, no variation.

For that reason alone a time travel trip to the 50s is out.

[ - ] UncleDoug 0 points 2.8 yearsJul 19, 2022 13:27:34 ago (+0/-0)

Made 18 year olds look 45.

You just reminded me of a video regarding retrospective ageing and cyclical fashion.

For that reason alone a time travel trip to the 50s is out.

But 50s fashion only looked old when generational fashion was worn by that adoptive generation then aged with that particular style.

Transport me to I Dream of Jeannie in the 1960s any day.

Different countries have different perspectives.
I would vote 2060s. Everything calmed down by that point and all the old power was killed off in their bunkers. We found all of them.

Israel ripped straight off the map. Not my choice, just what's going to happen. Trash economy. The abundance of trash. What are we gonna do with it? Are we gonna put it on an island? Are we gonna make it somebody else’s problem? Or are we going to take the initiative, and take this problem by the horns? Trash economy. You use cubes of trash as money. Everybody becomes rich, it’s a gold rush. Sea floor farming. 75% of the world’s surface not being used by agriculture. On the sea floor, you’re gonna have sea beets, sea yams, sea cabbage, have ya ever had a sea salad? Have ya ever had sea cheesy baked potatoes that BLEW YOUR SOCKS OFF? Cuz you’re gonna be. 2070 coming up.

Im going with the 80's We did whatever we wanted but held each other accountable. Music was Fucking Fantastic, there was no trash or grunge. No one to feel guilty about their race. Everything was about Beautiful White People.
