Use of law is use of violence

submitted by Reawakened to TellUpgoat 2.8 yearsAug 16, 2022 10:26:00 ago (+10/-0)     (TellUpgoat)

Government officials hide behind "rule of law" when nothing could be further from the truth. When they use "law" against anyone, what they are really threatening is violence. Do what we say or we will use violence against you in the name of the law.

That works so long as people stay willing and reasonable. Once people figure out that the police man, or the FBI Agent, or the Military man is nothing more than a neighbor in a uniform with no special powers, the imposition of violence disguised as law will become much more difficult.

Violence is the supreme authority from which all other authority derives.

It's also the conflict resolution from which all other resolutions of conflicts derive.

Every way you can end a conflict ultimately has force at it's most core.

All civilization is in fact founded on the appeal to force.

You only "consent" to authority and law because the government has a bigger stick than you.

Disgust has an effect for a reason, that reason being isolation, which is enforced by force, often through law.

Yes, and what's more, that the current state of the world is that whether or not the law is applied to you depends on whether the system favors you.

The law is not impartial, its arbitrarily enforced, and people are being discriminated against or in favor of based on politics, not on the basis of their offenses.

You back any blue your a fucking idiot.
They protect and serve the government, not the people.
Protect and Serve was virtue signaling.
Generations ate it up and passed it down.
I have ove 100yrs combined LEO service in my family tree.
Never once did they lie to me,they warned me.
40yrs later they were all spot on correct.

That may be true, but you never have to face just one, there's more of them than there are of you individually, but more of us collectively than there are of them as a collective.

You're mostly right, but when the gloves come off, there are a lot more of us individuals than there are them collectively. As someone said, they live among us.

When it becomes clear that they are the only thing standing between the people and the criminals, they will reassess. Think Yeltsin on a tank.

Then the system is legal rather than system of laws.

They don't call it the lawful system, rather they call it the legal system.
