When I took my first “mandatory” gun safety course for my CCW permit. One of my instructors (a retired police officer) told me something that has stuck with me forever. And I heed his advice. He said, when you choose a weapon for self defense, choose it wisely. Choose something you do not have to change or modify. Choose a weapon you can comfortably use in its stock off the shelf conditions. Because once you start modifying a weapon for better aim, better rate of fire, and better accuracy, a liberal prosecutor can shape a case where you were itching to kill a bad guy and you modified your weapon to get that kill. You are the bad guy.

I like how I've inadvertently mostly followed that advice!

I seem to have neglected to have taken it personally.

I have a problem calling people an inflammatory bundle of sticks. Considering how useful a bundle of faggots are going to be this winter in the EU.
