Behind the walls there's supposedly an unexplored region full of ice.

The funny part is that you are actually not allowed to set foot on Antarctica without your governments permission and even then you are limited to the shore. If you try to go there on your own warships will persuade you to turn around.

Can't say I'm a flat earth guy but I am definitely a globe earth skeptic.

The way people defend globe earth is very similar to the way people go into hysterics about holocaust denial. That's enough to push me away.

It's actually the people who believe in a globe that believe the natural physics of Earth curves away, creating an "edge" that boats somehow disappear over.

Flat Earth disinfo agents attempt to claim that Flat Earth has an edge. To believe in this would be akin to believing the NSDAP masturbated jews to death. If you lack the basic skills to discern this well then you should definitely continue to believe the world is a ball. You aren't quite ready to handle reality.

I'm a natural scientist. I believe in the science in which we can observe, measure and repeat ourselves. Anything outside of these parameters is considered religious dogma to me.

So how do you explain your above observation of the “edge” over which ships disappear? Is it your contention that ships don’t in fact disappear from sight when they cross this “edge” (more commonly known as the horizon), or do you disbelieve some “science” that even you are capable of observing?

In short: The phenomenon of "boats disappearing over the edge" can be reproduced over known flat surfaces at smaller scale. The conclusion is that the environmental factors of temperature and humidity have more to do with what causes objects to appear to sink than a physical dropping away of the land/water.
