Thought maybe it was an old star trek guy. The picture of an old dude with a red scarf over his natty wool blazer over his Aran wool fisherman's sweater gave him away as a French director.

I read it as his film "Breathless, about a souffle". Yeah I'd expect a guy with a scarf who said his films were new wave to make a movie about a cheese souffle and be called a genius by idiots.
