If your organization uses Indian recruiters to find talent, you are getting very low value for your money. The Indian recruiters are not bringing you appropriate candidates, nor showing you the best of the people they represent.
Overall, Indian recruiters demonstrate a poor understanding of job titles and requirements. In almost every case, I am approached with a job only tangentially related to my very clearly stated job title and career. Most of the Indian recruiters entirely ignore the hard requirements described in my profiles, forcing me to ask them if the jobs meet those requirements. Inevitably the answers are not forthcoming, or clear, as the Indian recruiters attempt to hide the answers. I know why they do this, and you know why they do this. Please know this is a poor, and exhausting practice.
Most Indian recruiters have a pitiful grasp of the English language. How am I supposed to think that a person who cannot form a well-written and professional looking introductory email, can represent me to a client in a good light? Why should I spend time with a person who can't even read half the words on my resume? If I were looking for a job in India, I'm sure these recruiters would do me a great service. But this is America, and most people speak and use English.
Finally, because of their heavy accents and remarkably shitty telephone connections (seriously, most of them sound like they're calling me on a 1980's cell phone from inside a Chinese open market), understanding Indian recruiters is difficult and phone calls take far too long. What's this about? I have had to tell Indian recruiters I can't understand them so many times (equally because of poor connection or accent), I've determined it's not worth speaking with them. Can Indian recruiting teams not afford decent telephone technology? Are they simply unaware of how bad things are? If the answer to either of these is 'yes', then why would I trust my career to people who are so professionally or technologically out of touch?
Interactions with Indian recruiters are entirely a waste of my time.
Never again. I was placed as a contract to hire by an Indian and he told me the full time salary was near $110k. It was under $95k, so they outright lied to me.
That's because your resume has been on the market too long. Recruiting companies who hire Indians as recruiters will not pay anything but the lowest rates for resumes which means that they get old, stale resumes of people who are mostly likely undesirable anyway. That means that they have to make up for a lack of their hiring fees by pushing people as fast as possible and that means that they will do everything they can to force unqualified people into seats at companies that give even less of a shit than normal. It will be a shit job for you.
So here's what you do.
1. Get a burner phone number. There are plenty of places online that will do this for you for free.
2. Create a burner email address. After you get your job or one month, whichever comes first, you're going to permanently delete that email address.
3. NEVER put your street or mailing address on your resume. In the last 10+ years since I started omitting it, not one single person has cared or asked.
Put your burner info on your resume and upload it to whatever site(s) you're using. If you want to be inventive, create multiple burner numbers and emails and use a different one for each resume site.
After one month, if you're not hired, burn that resume, number and email address.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
If you get street shitter recruiters before a month is up, burn everything like it is and start again.
Under no circumstances are you to EVER give out your real phone number. These motherfuckers will call you up to 10 years later. Even the American ones. I just had a major American recruiter call me because I gave them my real number something like 11 years ago before I wised up to this fucking game. I answered and intended to tell them to never call me again in a reasonably polite way. I'd barely gotten "Hello" out of my mouth and this American cunt bitch started in on me for not sounding cheerful. I lit into this piece of shit like it was the last thing I was going to do in life for calling me on a number that they should have never had and should have assumed long ago was burned. When she started talking over me, I told her "Don't EVER fucking call me again, bitch" and hung up.
Very interesting. I've never heard of this or this strategy. So by renewing my contact information every month, it forces my new resume to the top of the better recruiters' lists, and keeps it away from the pajeet recruiters?
I had my phone number on a couple of web sites a while back and deleted all of that stuff, and still the pajeets find me. They must hang on to the resume or whatever information for a long time.
You have to delete the resume completely so that it disappears off the lists they get. Then you get new contact info. It poisons their contact lists while keeping your "new" resume at the top of the "fresh" lists. I figured this out over the course of three job swaps.
Unfortunately, you have very few options. Probably the best thing you can do is to milk each one until you can get them to give you a number you can call them back and just have a lawyer send a firmly worded letter to leave you alone. You can also start filing FTC reports here https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/ - do that while you're on the phone with them and near the end of the form just tell them that you're about 2 minutes away from filing a federal complaint because you've told them to leave you alone before. Then just go ahead and submit it. The form will bounce back and give you a complaint ID which you should then read out to them. Be sure to repeat their name several times so that they understand that you've included their name in the complaint.
You can also use that link for spam email and the CAN-SPAM Act makes them liable for $16,000 fine PER email. Right now I have Dominos and Samsung sweating fucking bullets over that.
But since they're street shitters, they probably don't care about that so probably the best thing you can do is just ditch your number OR you can swap to another carrier that will give you a deal on a new line (there's always good deals like "join now and get a second line for free" or some shit) and just let that number rot for a few months - just keep the sim card out of the second line phone. I mean, that's spending money you shouldn't have to.
Or you can just call them the street shitters that they are. They're not likely to call the police or anything because 1. they have quotas and will just remove your number and 2. they know what they're doing is shady as shit. What else are they gonna do? Are they gonna stop calling you because you're "unprofessional"?
I doubt the FTC strategy would work with the shutters. I think my best bet is deleting everything for a bit.
So what about things like LinkedIn and Dice and Indeed and all that? Do I completely delete my accounts there? I could ditch all of them except LinkedIn, but I could definitely change my contact info on LinkedIn.
No, you don't need to delete your accounts anywhere. Just the resume. And, well, yeah, you should never have put your contact info on there for public or saleable consumption. Keep the accounts, change your email/phone information to whatever else you want. If it's something that needs you to validate that it's yours, go get a burner number and account. Once it's changed, leave it alone. If they want you to talk to them and they're serious, they'll message you through thew site or through your burner email.
So the way these sites work where you upload your resume is that you do that, it scans it for things like keywords and location and so forth (that's why they want very specific formats and file types). It then creates basically a meta-data file of you and your resume and skills. It then cycles that into a pool that they charge recruiters and businesses to access. Remember, when it's free to you, you are the product.
So these lists obviously change fast and if you want premium, fast access for high-demand employees, you pay a premium price. After about 2 weeks, the lists start to get stale as the top companies and recruiters have already picked through the prime people. Anyone left isn't exactly Grade A, so to speak. After about 2 more weeks, you have entry level, shit people, people who job hop too often, and so on. This is when the price of the list goes down and filters to the bottom feeders and companies who are shit and don't care about you but want a seat filled with premium skills for a shit price. Even if there were no street shitter recruiters, you really don't want to be in that end of the pool any more... there's too much piss and too many turds.
So you delete your resume. It re-indexes your metadata and you start at the top again.
By the way, another cool trick is to create your resume in Word, edit the header and footers and in WHITE text throw in all the hot keywords. The recruiter gets the visible bits you intended and the indexing system throws you to the front of the line. Oh, and for fuck's sake, if you have a skill in something you never want to work in again, take it out of your resume. It will index that and recruiters, even legit ones, will get that algorithm hit and call you for it.
These motherfuckers will call you up to 10 years later.
I've had my number for 15+ years now, and I still get calls for the last person who had it. Apparently she doesn't take kindly to paying bills and rather enjoys signing up for "free" shit.
You don't understand. And that's okay. It's a little known thing.
Asking for that does a few things all at once.
1. They know immediately that you are likely to sue them for continuing to call you.
2. When you combine that with the "take me off your call list", they have to leave you alone for the next year with only one chance for a fuckup.
3. They have to send it to you within, I believe, 10 days. If they do not, you can immediately sue the shit out of them. I forget if it's $5000, $10,000 or whatever but there's a dude that actually makes a wealthy living doing this. The trick is that you get to file in small claims court for peanuts and then just make sure the recruiters know you've sued them. They, of course, won't show up and you get a default judgement. If they do, you still win. Of course they won't pay so then you do what this other dude did with, I think it was Bank of America, and grab the sheriff and foreclose on their property to collect.
They're recruiting Americans in the US. They 100% have an office here in the country.
In fact, I won't speak to one. If you don't sound like me, I'm not buying what you're selling (jobs, donations, products, etc).
Pre Covid, I went through an in person interview and a follow-up. White guys. It was in the bag. Dinesh calls to verify some info. White guy from the interview calls a week later saying the company has reached out with an offer and couldn't get me on the phone. I told him I'm not giving my personal info to some random Indian calling me. Something else I was waiting on luckily came through at the same time.
If you're a wagie working a desk job to make someone else money, you're dead weight to the real productive class that will survive whats on the horizon.
None, I sell them in less than 18m. Far better to be brought back on for a few hours a month at insane consulting rates to fix them after the bankers who bought them have fucked them up and run them into the ground.
I know your question was meant to pretend you're better than me, your typical MO - but you've got nothing here, you're still a wagie, too.. just for you know who.
Everything after that is bullshit. You're sitting here telling people what to do and you haven't done it yourself. Go the fuck back to israel, stupid fuck.
That's right, whine like the trained leftist puppy you are. Keep spitting out those lies and everything else you can think of because you're a butthurt jew-fag. lulz.
How many engineers waste stupid amounts of time 3-6 months to create scale models of something, creating conditions to simulate the full scale and still get it wrong? When some asshole comes along and says, look I've been there done that, this is what's worked so far. Now your situation is unique but there are enough similarities that we can use previous knowledge to bridge across the gaps in knowledge created by your specific issue.
Sometimes an idea that seems faulty on initial implementation, turns out to be the best overall solution with a little development.
