Poal crossover viewers Whether you like the content I post here or not it's a result of the shitty actions of aou on Poal making Poal basically a Reddit like censorship platform through increasingly vague and specific restrictions against posting in certain subs resulting in making it virtually impossible to post and being penalized and time restricted resulting in defacto censorship de facto because it is just simply too hard to actually post there. So Poal suffers and the poal community suffers and f* you AOU.

It always amazes me how some of these moderators or owners of these platforms think it is somehow a privilege to post there when an actual fact it's a privilege by the users if they choose to post there. It takes work to post things. It takes time and it takes a consideration for others to want to share important stories so that other users of the platform are informed. The privilege is totally the platforms and the obligation owed is from the platform to the users who take the trouble to post there.

No one can argue that this is all accidental on pole. And that certainly was the argument at reddit. For those of us who were on Reddit before there were moderators and before it was subdivided into increasingly arcane subreddits to keep people divided and fighting instead of all knowledgeable about the facts of life. We recognize quickly that these increasingly arcane rules about posting in certain subs are actually purposely driven to keep you from posting and to enforce censorship and destroy the platform. It's like when insurance companies that were medical insurance companies used to make it very difficult for you to call people to get your insurance claims paid. They would make you jump through and clean increasingly difficult and long wait times on calls that were increasingly difficult to place and increasingly to the wrong people who refer you to somebody else to make you wait on another long call that would only refer you to somebody else. None of it was accidental. The difficulty Factor was purposely dialed up by the companies to make it impossible to make claims. The same thing is going on with pole now. Pole is just enforcing censorship through plausible deniability probably because someone is taking it over and they don't want things posted.

No it hasn't happened here yet but I do see an increasing version of another type of censorship and that is the downvoting brigades. If Paul does one thing right is it prevents downloading unless it's for a reason that is a some violation of the platform and if you download your own score on the platform is hurt. That's one thing that vote should adopt. We've seen increasing down voting brigades that are obviously driven by Jewish people pushing the war with russia. Anything at all that is pro truth about Russia and the Ukraine war typically starts out here with a negative three down vote. Before this gets too bad vote should eliminate the down voting affecting rankings of stories at all. And a vote is not willing to do that they should at least offer a choice to users to allow the users to use a ranking system that does not include down votes. This was proposed many times at Reddit back when people still thought Reddit was honestly trying to create a platform that would honestly display stories that were ranked by users. It took a long time to realize that Reddit love the down voting censorship that happened and in fact probably created many of the down voting brigades themselves to keep stories from being seen. Hopefully that's not the case with vote right now and hopefully someone has the technical savvy to go into the code and vote and just say if download button is hit do nothing instead of if down boat button is hit reduce score by one. I mean that's not that hard to find in the code and if the owner of vote doesn't know how to find it in the code then post the source code and some of us will instantly identify the problem area so you can alter it.

So hopefully vote won't go the way of pole but right now with the down voting brigades it is following one of the two tried and true Reddit plausible deniability censorship routes that destroyed Reddit.

And if it gets too bad the best choice will be to abandon this platform like pail and go to gab which apparently has a huge user base so your posts probably matter more there anyway.

No doubt it will be a comment from someone saying I'm a whiny b** and I should just post better stuff. Once again this shows the stupid fallacy of those people who believe that it is the platforms privilege rather than the posters privilege to have content posted at a site. Anyone who posts anything to a website no matter how crappy is doing the site a favor. Not the other way around.
