The only reason to build a bioweapon is to use it.
Studying something that was created and exists solely in a lab serves no other use when there already exist protocols and procedures to mitigate contagion in the highly-unlikely event that exact combination of mutations occur in the wild.

Also, seeing quite a few Chinese names cited in the paper: Da-Yuan Chen, Chue Vin Chin, GuanQun Liu, Jonathan Z. Li

Not even peer reviewed. Gee, I wonder why they are making such a big deal of it already. It's not like "viruses" can only reproduce in poisoned cells and no one has ever demonstrated Koch's or River's postulates on any bacteria or virus whatsoever. It's not like the real facts are so clear that they have to play off normies' ignorance and prejudices to make their story.
