I’ve been pressured to do an assisted suicide,” he told The Post, alleging this happened with caretakers at Victoria Hospital, a primarily government-funded center in London, Ontario.

“They asked if I want an assisted death. I don’t. I was told that I would be charged $1,800 per day [for hospital care]. I have $2 million worth of bills. Nurses here told me that I should end my life. That shocked me.”

I'm generally for assisted suicide. But when the healthcare providers are pushing it like they seem to do in Canada, i wouldn't consider it suicide anymore, but murder.

This "issue" is not without consequences, no longer does a strong "will to survive" take precedence in our existence...this bullshit just sends the message that when things get tough one can take the easy way out and "off one's self" ...gone is the persistent fortitude required to pull through the toughest of times...I have no issue with anyone determining their own destiny when suffering exceeds quality of life but not with the sanctioning of the medical community...soon the ✡️ will make it big business and coerce grade schoolers into just giving up...the strong will die before realizing they're strong because that's the way they've been programmed to think....THIS IS NOT GOOD.
This poor fuck is now in a perpetual state of demoralization.

They tried to convince us my mom wanted to die went she was very ill after chemotherapy. She was not very communicative at that point. They were trying to discourage us from putting a feeding tube in.

Later on my mom recovered and didnt remember alot of what had happened when she was sick. I told her that they tried to convince us she wanted to die and we should just let her starve. She was so upset! She insisted that she never wanted to die. I said dont worry I didnt believe them.

Have a talk with your family members and let them know what you want and ask them what they want. Make them understand that today’s medical establishment will err on the side of killing you by starving you, doping you, withholding drugs and water, oxygen etc, wherever they can get away with it. My mom lived 4 more years after that.
Get them scared, because they should be. I just feel so bad for seniors without family members who care.
