To be fair one of those reports was from me. A group of obnoxious indians annoyed me one time, so, months later when they had an identical large (30 odd) gathering during a lockdown I reported them because I'm petty, racist and hold a grudge.
Didn't give a shit about covid rules, just wanted to fuck with them.

I don't think they got in trouble though, they were probably all living in the same room so technically not a rule break.

Yes, or snitching. It wasn't that long ago that our media were praising dobbers. Turning in "covidiots" (as the media called us) to the authorities was openly encouraged and praised as good citizens.

That was the one aspect of the madness that I saw people push back against in Ireland thankfully. There were a few of course, but in general people would mind their own business if they weren’t willing to say something to your face. Right before we left the last place we lived (it was a condo development) there was this middle aged asshole who called the cops on everyone for every little thing. Even me once for a "unlicensed" dog. Didn't even have a dog at the time. Anyway, I see him a week before we move out and he walks by and it was clear he got his ass kicked pretty bad. I asked him what happened and he said he was in an accident and he just kept walking. I bet, he accidently called the cops on the wrong guy.
