I don't get this word "trap". Trap would imply that they pass in the first place and that you yourself think you might fall for "the trap". Whereas in my eyes, it's just an incredibly obvious man pretending to be a woman. That's why idioms are so difficult for non-native speakers of whatever language the phrase is spoken. I spent ten minutes the other day trying to explain what "by the skin of my teeth" means to my wife. She's a little slow admittedly, but English is not her first language. She did manage to get a PhD with it, so I'm really not in a place to judge too harshly.
