It's because of the VW dieselgate thing - everyone was encouraged to get a diesel - then it turned out that they are super bad for Humans and kids especially, when in a built up environment.

There are 9 million+ people living in London.

It means less kids grow up to have fucked lungs.

And it fucking goes when I step on it too - and can do 75-80 at about 1.5-2k revs in 6th gear.

All it take is for the British to grow a back bone. This is enforced with cameras that are well known. All it takes is a little civil disobedience. If this came to my neighborhood i do not think it would stand for long. I would wake up a few mornings latter and see a burning tire hanging on the camera post.
