The low-emission zone in central London, within which motorists are charged £12.50 (€14.56) per day for driving the most polluting vehicles, is set to be extended to cover the whole of London, the city’s left-wing mayor, Sadiq Khan, announced on Friday.
All it take is for the British to grow a back bone. This is enforced with cameras that are well known. All it takes is a little civil disobedience. If this came to my neighborhood i do not think it would stand for long. I would wake up a few mornings latter and see a burning tire hanging on the camera post.
Why should my kids health suffer just cos some cunt wants to drive a car with a stupidly large diesel engine - in a place you will be lucky to do 30mph, where most speed limits are 20mph and where the average speed is 10mph.
Is your petrol car made after 2006? It's already ulez compliant. ( And many older cars are too)
It's because of the VW dieselgate thing - everyone was encouraged to get a diesel - then it turned out that they are super bad for Humans and kids especially, when in a built up environment.
There are 9 million+ people living in London.

I have car. It has big engine. It's old. It's ulez compliant. And it fucking goes when I step on it too - and can do 75-80 at about 1.5-2k revs in 6th gear.
