My monitor never turns off anymore and no all the stuff i am running should not be stopping the screensaver, how about an option to decide what apps interfere with the screen shutoff timer?
If you really want to save power MS how about a click to turn on the screen option instead of every little bump causing it to turn the monitor back on, cats like to move things on desks, what about the janitors in office buildings bumping the desks with the vacuum?
but turning stuff on and off runs the risk of it never turning back on, if you never turn it off it cant stop working but at the very least it can use as little power as possible while not in use.
