The fact that this SHIT FOOD is so massively consumed shows that the West has lost a war that it didn't realize was going on..."BREAD & CIRCUSES" was a lethally effective distraction...I'll eat McDonald's twice a year just to remind myself not to eat it...it takes 2 days after eating this crap to get my system back to normal...and stupid society shovels this garbage down it's throat.

Have you wondered why Mom&Pop diners don't exist any more? Or why hipster coffee shops rarely mange to stay in business for long?

Part of the reason is that food establishments have always had a particularly high failure rate. But over the past 10 or so years it's gotten worse. Much worse. And Free WIFI has a lot to do with it.

Any place that you can buy a single cup of coffee and then spend the rest of the day taking up limited, costly space while you nurse a $2 coffee and while away your time on their WIFI is not going to be able to stay in business for very long. Yet if you even think about not offering free wifi people will go elsewhere.

Time was you'd go to McDonalds, get your food, maybe eat it in a booth, and then get the hell out of there. The only exception was if you had kids and you were taking advantage of the Playland for some free baby sitting while you nibbled on a Big Mac in relative peace. But that was an hour, maybe 2 tops. But now you can hold WIFI court in a Micky D's all fucking day long if you want for nothing more than the price of a cuppa their crappy coffee.

It has nothing to do with having lost some war and everything to do with a game changing technology that society hasn't figured out how to regulate yet. If it even ever will.

If you can tolerate the terrifying glimpse into the current human condition that you witness at most McDonald's, you need deprogramming.

This has been a thing at McDonald’s in NYC for probably 15-20 years. Mostly for bums and most of those bums are Black.

The amusing exception is in Flushing, Queens where all of these Chinese grannies would sit in there all fucking day talking and playing Mah Jong so they had to finally shut that shit down. They actually complained to some local representative and there was some sort of mediation where I believe they were partially accomodated. Can you imagine thinking that McDonald’s should be forced to host you like a senior center? In my neighborhood, a group of fucknerds would always be in there playing Magic the Gathering

Does mcD offer wifi? Could be to battle what happens in Starbucks.

These laws aren't even enforced in most shit holes these days. There are so few pigs left by the time they're free enough to even take the call it would be well over a few hours.
