Goyslop Prices Are Out of Control

submitted by Scyber to Food 2.1 yearsMar 11, 2023 19:37:20 ago (+1/-1)     (Food)

$10 for a Chipotle burrito?
Haven't ate here in about a year and it was about $8.50 with tax. Now it's it's about $10.30 after tax.
I worked at a Chipotle for a few months almost 20 years ago when burritos were about $5.50 - and people were bitching about the prices back then.
It's almost doubled in 20 years.
And it's pretty much at every goyslop restaurant now.

And before anyone says "cook at home" - it would cost me over $30 for all the ingredients I need to make a decent Chipotle style burrito plus at least an hour to prep and cook it all - without that signature taste.

I'm just sick of everything costing so much now.
Rant over.

There is twice as much money as there was in 2020. If it's not in your pocket, well that's a different problem. It's not the burrito's fault.

That twice amount of money isn't in anyone's pocket - except for the federal reserve. That's a fact.

It starts out at the Fed and then it trickles down with each jew down the way taking a usurious cut for doing nothing. They don't even provide the capital for loans. The Fed just puts capital on their balance sheets and they can lend that out.

They don't give a shit if you store savings with them because big daddy Fed will make sure they are capitalized.

Also constant inflation along with 0% interest on savings means people are incenticed to spend money from which they can generate taxes. Another con.

If you spent 30$ on burrito ingredients you'd probably be able to make 10/15 burritos at correct portion size. Learn how to cook and stop being a fast food consumer!

$30 to make a burrito. You're a drooling retard.

Steak prices are at least $12 per pound
$12

Big flour tortillas are 10 for $5
$5

Rice is cheap - $2 a pound.
$2

Onions & green peppers are $2 per pound.
$4

Pico is around $3 per pound.
$3

Sour cream is about $4 per pound
$4

Cheese is another $4 a pound.
$4

Now let's factor in the time it takes to prep everything
20mins minimum.

And then cook everything
30 minutes minimum

I don't work for any less than $20 an hour - Doing odd jobs like gardening and shoveling snow.

So let's add all that up -

Without charging my $20 an hour to work, it still would cost me at least $34 to make one fucking burrito.

NOW GTFO WITH YOUR RETARDED BULLSHIT.

The excuses of fats is astounding. They will kill themselves eating goyslop instead of learning how to properly make a decent copy that is healthier, faster, cheaper, and tastier.

$30 of ingredients to make $30 worth of food that will last a few days

Pay $10 for $3 worth of ingredients that won't carry you over to the next day

Is it just because you're lazy that you don't want to cook? Because it's not the money.
