How many of you watch actual television?

I'm just curious. I don't have cable or anything. I occasionally watch TV in the evening if I am staying in a hotel or whatever. But daytime TV just seems like straight cancer. I think it might be a big reason women are so generally fucked in the head. A lot of the content seems like it is aimed towards children or child-like mentalities, even though it is clearly adult-oriented programming.

I quit watching TV years ago. I watched it only for free movies and TV shows. I can watch whatever I want on free streaming now, without commercials.

Haven't had a television since the one I bought for the first Gulf war. But then only used it to watch Blu ray, or whatever they called those dinnerplate sized disks.

Watched the Lost compilation, and the chronological version. Counterpart was an interesting scifi show, but even that had miscegenation.

I cut cable off in 2006, mostly because I was pissed that I was paying for commercials and it just wasn't worth the $80 to me.

I still wanted to zone out at night so I found a video store that would rent for 5 days and I just did that for a few years. Then netfux until Hey Huwhite People! Then amazon etc etc

They had the TV on at work a few weeks ago. I saw some show with an obese white mom bossing around her husband and kids. Then the next night I saw a show about a white family that moved to a black neighborhood. And the whole show was about the whites being goofy and not fitting in.

I have free basic cable included in my apartment and it's 95% reruns and every show is 1/3rd commercials -and there's more because they're all 15 seconds now.
It's absolutely not worth paying for cable when it's like this -plus the cable company runs their own ads during every commercial break.
It's seriously sickening.

I don't have cable but I subscribe to a couple live tv streaming services, KlowdTV for OANN and then Frndly has a few things like Grit and a few other things that show westerns or Military stuff. They also have the gameshow network which we'll keep on in the background sometimes. I think I initially subscribed to that one because I read some article about how Candance Cameron was starting some nice family friendly Christian channel called 'Great American Family' but every time I looked at that one, it seemed pretty dull.

All that said, usually I don't watch any of them.

I do like Grit/MeTV now that you've reminded me of it. The Rifleman is an old favorite of mine.

That said, every commercial break is something about kikes needing donations, or Medicare swindlers, or whatever. Last time I saw it, there was some Burger King commercial that played every ten minutes about some fucking chicken sandwich. I about started breaking shit listening to that dumbass nigger singing a jingle 30 times.

I can't tolerate advertising of any kind. It feels like I'm being mind-raped, because I didn't ask for what they are trying to shove up my ass. The main reason I will not watch TV is because of commercials. I rarely try the radio before becoming disgusted with ads and switching it off. Have you noticed that pretty much ALL the FM stations now have commercial breaks AT THE SAME TIME??? That's a gang-rape right there.

And if I do see TV on somewhere else, I look away or hum to myself so as not to infect my brain with their thought STDs. I really can't stand the programs either, most are so woke it depresses me.

I have a local college radio station that (mostly) plays classical music. I leave it on for the dog. Lately, they've had troubles keeping it online or something because I can't find it anymore. The normal radio channels are pure fucking cancer.

For someone who hasn't watched television since the mid-90's it's rather eye-opening. And all of my internet-capable machines have several layers of ad/tracking/etc blocking.

Visiting family I'll see some television and it's just THICK layers of propaganda. Even the commercials are difficult to tell apart from the normal shows. Which are absolute woke trash of the worst sort.

I, too, have many extensions on my browser to squash any ads that try to get through... I can't remember the last time I saw an ad on my desktop machine. And it drives me insane when someone is playing music on their phone and there's an AD every 3 minutes, and they don't even flinch to skip it or turn the volume down as I have to listen to obnoxious Geico or herpes commercials for 3 fucking minutes at full blast... like wtf?! I'll yell "I'M GOING TO RIP OFF YOUR HEAD AND SHIT DOWN YOUR NECK IF YOU DON'T SKIP OR MUTE THIS GODDAMN COMMERCIAL!!!" and they kind of snap out of their hypnotrance of obediently absorbing the software update brought to you by Pfizer.

Back when I was in high school, when cable TV was still analog signals and premium channels were signal-scrambled, I would fiddle with the fine tuning and vertical and horizontal hold controls on the TV set to get a distorted (but watchable) picture of Skinamax or HBO or whatever. Sometimes you had to tilt your head to the side to figure out if you were seeing boobies or coffee mugs. I digress.

Anyways, as the screen would distort and roll and drift I noticed that every pre-recorded program had a binary decimal code timestamp encoded into the first couple of lines of picture (lines that never get displayed on the screen because they are out-of-margin). When a commercial break came on, the timestamp for that program would disappear, and a new timestamp would appear for each commercial. When the TV show resumed, the timestamp would pick up pretty much where it left off before the commercial break. Obviously, this information could be used to discriminate the "TV show" from everything else. You could identify when the timestamp for that program disappeared and send an IR transmission to the TV (or build circuitry into the set) to mute it and when the program resumed, it would un-mute.

Well it sounds like a splendid idea and of course life leads you in other directions... and about the time I decided to get serious about it, well the FCC decided everybody MUST go digital and so the NTSC timestamps are now stripped from the picture before it reaches your TV (probably for the exact reason of preventing automatic muting).

And there you have it, one of my many missed windows of fortune. Thanks jews.
