Oh, you mean the clouds. That's where a few gusts of wind have made "holes" in the cloud. It could be caused by several different things.
Was at the lake Saturday. The wind was making small choppy waves all over the lake except in a few spots. Those spots were smooth and flat, like the wind wasn't blowing at all.

Smooth spots on the water, in my experience, are caused by oil slicks. If you are ever at sea in a storm, you can throw a sea anchor out (big parachute under water) with an oil can with a little hole in it attached near the anchor... the oil comes out and rises to the surface, where it breaks the waves and creates a smoother ride through the storm.

Painters who painted landscapes spent a lot of time looking up at the sky and tried to paint the coolest most dramatic shit. You can get a good idea of whether there is a precedent for phenomenons like this by looking through some European paintings. I can’t recall having ever seen similar in the works.

The vapor in the middle froze and contracted, ice expands compared to normal liquid water but water vapor is so porous that by comparison ice contracts.

Anyway the centers of the holes have ice clouds in them, if you ever see similar clouds to the ones in the holes again you'll know they are ice clouds.

Fallstreak hole in high altitude clouds, probably Cirrocumulus clouds. The phenomenon occurs when supercooled water in the clouds freezes resultant of aeroplanes flight path overhead.
