No it is not causing cancer. Nobody knows exactly what causes cancer. Women who sleep around are more likely to develop cervical cancer.

What brand did they smoke? Some people are less prone to developing cancer than others, but people who smoke have a much higher rate than people who don't. Some chemicals, like PFAS, cause cancer at near 100% rates depending on exposure level. Radiation causes cancer at very high rates. Asbestos causes lung cancer at nearly 100%.
