https://notrickszone.com/2023/05/09/us-has-had-an-historic-winter-as-all-western-states-have-seen-record-snowfall/

"the US has set 7 all-time low temperature records so far this year (through April 24) compared to just one heat record, while 321 monthly lows have fallen in April alone (also through April 24) compared to 66 heat records."
"1,149-960 sq km of the West was covered with snow and ice on 1 April.
By comparison, the average snowpack in the western US at the end of March is 242,000 square miles."
Enjoy the interglacial while it lasts.

Enjoy the interglacial while it lasts.

At least it keeps the niggers inside. Though I don't go to cities to see them so it's meh either way for me.

That's interesting, my immediate area had a very mild winter. Guess we got it easy this year.

I bought a new snow blower 2 years ago and still haven't used it yet.

The use of "an" before "historic" always makes me see red. Why do people do this?

Say it out loud: "An Historic" then say "A Historic". Which one doesn't sound stupid?

I realize some people are Bri'ish and don't pronounce the "h" in "historic" because "historic" is derived from the french word "historique" which has a silent "h" and the french are close pals with the brits, thus leading to the use of "an"... but I see Americans doing it all the time and it makes me cringe. You don't use "an" when the next word starts with a consonant sound. You use it for words that start with a vowel sound.
