I have a personal philosophy of avoiding at all costs taking the first damage. It consists that the first damage can never be recovered, and not even God Himself can undo it... The most that can be done is fight back, but this will always not be enough to recover what was lost, it's just revenge.
Prejudice is just necessary and has always saved my neck from the first damage, also kept me on path of safety. I have the right and duty to choose who to trust, yes that's called DISCRIMINATION what is my divine right.
If racism is a form of prejudice and discrimination, then this is the right path to a society based in true trust and harmony among individuals who have forged their own path to the true safety and peace, which is based on brotherhood, relationship and human values, not by the force nor laws. That's what we call a nation.
Imagine a town where there are two people living there: stars and stripes.
The stripes used to live there alone, and crime was low, the stripes trusted each other and looked out for one another. Then the stars moved in, and started committing all manner of crime.
There were two options from this point on.
If the stripes were racist, they would identify the stars as the cause of the crime, and cease to trust or help them, but continue trusting and helping other stripes, thus a community full of stripes would still be as good as the one they used to live in before the stars arrived.
If the stripes weren't racist, they would simply identify the rise the crime without attributing it to any particular group, thus they would begin to distrust anyone, regardless of star or stripe, as a result nobody could count on anyone else to help them, and society as a whole suffers, leading to the government stepping in to provide the services which should be provided from the community, and the creation of a loneliness that causes a rise in all manner of social dysfunction.
Racism makes the effects of multiculturalism less harmful.
