Turkey has a say because they are a member of NATO.
If I were Swedish, I would try to annoy Turkey, so that they would block Sweden from joining NATO. Later, when the USA tricks NATO into going to war with Russia, the Swedes can stay out of it, saying "we are not members!"

Yes and no. Bacon is no good for middle easterners because back in the day of no refrigeration, northern folks could kill and put a pig in the smokehouse when it was fall and 40 degrees out. That would preserve it over the winter and they had those "good for the soul" moments all winter long and didn't starve. The middle easterners would be looking at 80 degree nights in the fall, and eating pig that was hung in 80 degree weather (nights) would kill them.
BTW, Finland fucked up in joining nato, they will have to fight a war they don't need and don't want.
