While Pentagon officials have stressed that it is too early to write the counteroffensive off as a “failure,” the US has refused to supply Ukraine with long-range ATACMS or F-16s, explaining with regard to the latter that there simply is no time or money to train the Ukrainians to fly and maintain the aircraft in time to make a difference in the conflict.

They aren't getting f16's because Russia said that would cross the line. NATO and the US has flinched on the F16's. Not that it would have made any difference at all, but Russia called them a "nuclear threat" and said they would respond accordingly.

But trust me for a moment as Iman avid student of history including war.
And I've watched hundreds of hours of Nato vs Russia war videos.

This offensive has failed because once again the generals back in plush offices fought the previous war.

Outdated doctrines were employed.

Columns of mechanized infantry instead of headline making blitzkrieg or thunder run successes:

Had there leading mine clearer blown up.

Pinned by mines.

Russia deployed remote mine laying behind the columns.

Artillery slaughtered dismounted infantry.

Drones picked off now stuck armor

And in came the attack heli safe out of range to get stragglers with missiles.

So Nato switched to infantry rushes.

So artillery of course slaughtered them.

And we'll, Russia would mine Frontline trenches and just abandoned them to Nato and boom.

The Russia would hammer the trenches with arty. Nato would retreat.

Russia just walked back in and retook the trenches.

Slaughter for no gain.

Yeah. Nato, 41 nations are getting dicked.

It's a whole new layer of warfare, isn't it? The moment russians started using this method ukrainians started using it too(the road to tokmak, for example). Russia even tried doing something unorthodox as sending an ancient tank towards ukrainian trenches to blow itself up. Worked couple of times, i guess.

Didn't think ukranians would have fallen into this trick, but they did.
Anyway, i don't have much time to watch things very closely. Just Military Summary, incel slava and donbas devushka. Outside of that there is mainstream, which is pretty straightforward in its message that they are depopulating ukraine for the greater israel or something.
