Upgoat: keep the site changes?

Per request. Personally I think the changes made will kill the site. If the site links and refreshes to only the sterilized default subs, it kills user created subs and generally makes everything more gay and vanilla.

Sanitizing default subs like Poal but choosing not to do voting transparency like Poal is equivalent to intentionally choosing to copy the worst part of Poal while choosing to ignore the best part of Poal.

The voting system should be abolished altogether. If one wants an obvious change that should be it.

1. We have jannies for default subs. These will be vulnerable to capture by shills - as they have lots of time on their hands.

2. Visibility suppression of user created subs. I can't see my latest OE thread in new either being logged in or out.

Final verdict: these changes are FBI approved.

Then we have this poll... whose results can be manipulated. And instead of yes and no options we have a third option which combined with option 1 may beat out option 2.

This sucks. dangus is correct inasmuch as these changes will probably kill the site. Especially if mods are actually brought in.

Also curious is how few upvotes your comment has. Smells to high heaven as your basic point is obviously correct.

@system Please don't have the site refresh to only default subs. This is a dumb idea. How else are we supposed to get important information on the dietary value of bananas to the masses?

Voted option 2. Turn it back the way it was. Not that it was ever to my ideals. But better than the changes.

Wanna note once again that poll results CAN be manipulated and this poll, which was looking like a runaway for option 2, is getting close - particularly if we count option 2 vs. the two other available options.
