Is tri-tip beef a "Brazilian cut"?

submitted by HeyJames to NutziHiveKickers 1.7 yearsSep 7, 2023 09:27:40 ago (+6/-4)     (NutziHiveKickers)

I could swear that I've had tri-tip in a Brazilian steak house. In fact that's the only time I've really heard it mentioned in the south honestly..

Now here begs the question, did Brazilians popularize tri-tip steak in California or is it just a coincidence?

There was a goat who spoke of not having had brisket but being very familiar with tri-tip. It is quite urgent that I know if this cut and its popularity is Brazilian in origin.

We at /v/NutziHiveKickers have been under heavy assault by Brazilian dog-loving vegans and as always need to know the truth of what we're up against.

Never heard of this faggotry before. I go frequently to Brazillian steakhouses in Brazil.

Tri tip is a very flavorful cut of beef. If cooked well, I find it tastier than popular expensive cuts.

My understanding of tri tip is it's simply another cheap cut that has become popular because the good cuts are absurdly expensive.

Just get a bolar roast, you can make them almost any style and they're still (relatively) inexpensive.

I'll look for the bolar roast.

I usually buy the log of eye of round and the beef knuckle and use those a million way till sunday.

Still trying to figure out correct mounts of fat to put in when I grind it though. I keep not putting not enough and the burgers have been kind of dry.

Burgers? I think you mean tacos. Or possibly even burritos.

Why would I grind up meat for taco or burrito. ohh.. hahaha you loser. You're used to that taco bell shit aren't you?

I remember horse meat. Yeah, it doesn't taste like that. Taco bell isn't even horse meat. Good luck on eating whatever the fuck is in that pig slop.

Yes I'm sure you remember horse meat quite well, along with whatever else beaners eat. Ay carumba!

Tri Tip comes from Santa Maria Ca. Around 40-50 years ago the butchers used to throw the tip into the ground beef mix until someone down there discovers grilling it.
In an old supermarket in Sacramento I met a butcher who was nearing retirement and he was one of those original guys that discovered it.
The further you go east from California the less tri tip you see.

Brazilians definitely stole this from California then. Can't really expect too much originality out of them. Believe it was a Brazilian steak house in Utah I remember seeing tri tip.

Tao niggers steal everything, just like niggers.

You're right

The Brazilians stole that way of making spit roasted tri tip. That style of skewered barbecue originated in Santa Maria California

Never dealt with tri-tip until I lived in California. I'd be interested to know if the Brazilian place you mentioned originated in California.

Make sure to down vote this post when you see it @spaceman84 and @love240

With all this chaos surrounding foreign vegan beef, we're relying on consistency to keep us sane

I kept getting an error when trying to vote.

Hey, that foreign vegan beef has some sweet cuts though. I mean how can you resist throwing

this on your grill and serving it to the family?

That color and consistency I will always correlate with vomit from small children.

This is the first image I’ve seen on the internet in a while that has made me feel ill. Gross.

Spam looks damn near gourmet compared to that sawdust pattie.
