WireMin can be a good choice for secure chats, but I don't think it is a suitable alternative for social media platforms like Twitter. It prioritizes privacy to such an extent that it lacks the vibe on social media. Its user base is currently small as well. However, as a secure messenger or a tool for sensitive file transfer and topics, it is indeed a good choice.

I dont’t have an X account, but wanted to comment that of course it does. Machine learning is a useful tool for identifying bots and spam which is perfectly reasonable given the ability of these to lower user satisfaction. Gab has been challenged with bot spam in the past and they had a terrible time getting rid of it.

Big techs’ have forgotten that social media is for people to interact and connect.

Social media is for companies to have large data reservoirs

Our data belongs to us, and no one has the right to use it without permission.

Your data belongs to whoever you hand it to.

I'm switching to Decentralized social network, own my privacy there, and connect anonymously

That was always the right move, rather than pretending handing over data to big companies somehow makes them the bad guys. But FYI, it's still public and people can still train models off of that data.
